East Oxford First School

These children thought about treasures and how we all love making collections. They first brought to school their own favourite object from home and talked and wrote about this 'treasure'. Then in the Museum they looked in the Tradescant Room, and in the Medieval and Indian Galleries and chose their favourite object. They sketched in the Galleries, observing closely, and then made a pastel drawing and wrote about their chosen object.

My favourite object is a holy Bible from My god father in devon.

In the Ashmolean I drew a huge persian padlock because it had lots of detail. It also had my stile of drawring.
Large Padlock - A large Persian padlock for a door or a gate (1600-1900).
