To celebrate the re-opening of the cinema in 1996 this famous corner of Cowley Road and Jeune Street was enlivened by a film and music festival. All kinds of film and music characters appeared - a cameo from James Dean and a taste of flamenco guitar from Paco de Lucia (in statue form)..as well as a flying appearance by Superman, who dropped in for a pint at the Elm Tree. |
